Susie Clinkard has filled in caring for the children and her older family members by taking an odd assortment of jobs. She has worked (and still does) for Suffolk County Council, tending to the local park, disused railway line walks, litter picking, opening and shutting the toilet block etc. Other jobs include shelf stacking at Tesco store, sorting newspapers in the night shift, before Holly left for university, dental nurse, breast feeding advisor, delivery driver...there are not many (legal!) jobs she hasn't done!
At present, she rents rooms out to lodgers, and has several well mortgaged properties which she also lets out.
For entertainment, Susie Clinkard loves going to heavy/trash/death metal gigs, mostly in London. She also loves WWE wrestling shows...going to Orlando last year with Jonny for Wrestlemania...another visit to Houston planned for early April 2009. Susie has (at present) four cats; unfortunately the 14 year old rottweiler, Mena, died a few months back.
Writing has always been Susie Clinkard's main interest...as her father used to say, 'Susie has verbal diarrhoea!' Her books are based around the countryside she grew up in, the quiet atmosphere altered into a maelstrom of death and deceit via her overactive imagination...step inside Susie Clinkard's mind...if you dare!
